Nancy, Kjartan & Adam
About Us
We have been married for several years now and continually grow closer. We met while we were both on a hiking trip in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Our love of the outdoors is what brought us together initially, but our love for each other quickly grew. All of our family and friends knew that we were destined to be together. We enjoy traveling, hiking, biking, boating, skiing and most of all, spending time with friends and family.
We love going out together as a family on the weekends. One of our favorite things to do is visit a nearby farm. Adam loves seeing the animals, but most of all loves “driving” the tractor.
Nancy is extremely thoughtful and always willing to help others. She uses her creative abilities as a marketing manager for a software company. She is a natural when it comes to children. She is patient and resourceful and always coming up with new ways to keep them engaged.
Nancy is a great Mom. She makes sure Adam gets everything that a growing little boy might need, such as good homemade meals, trips to the playground and bedtime stories with his teddy bear. Watching Nancy read stories to Adam is just precious; you can tell that both of them love it! He runs to the bookshelf, picks out a book and climbs into his favorite place - Mommy's lap! Then they are off to the magical world of story land.
Kjartan enjoys his work as a software engineer. But he also really enjoys working with his hands and has completed many home improvement projects that turned out beautifully. He loves woodworking and is really good at it. In fact, he has taught our nephews how make champion-ship pinewood derby cars. He enjoys every minute of parenthood (including changing diapers) and he can't wait until Adam is old enough to play baseball, go fishing, and work on woodworking projects.
We live in a friendly suburban town that is just a short drive from a major city. Our town consistently gets high ratings for its school system and quality of life. We know all of our neighbors and we get along really well with them. The neighborhood is full of young children. A couple of years ago a brand new elementary school was built in our neighborhood. We live within walking distance from the new school, several playgrounds, a bike path and reservoir with a beach where Adam spends a lot of time in the summer. The playgrounds are very popular and Adam enjoys playing with all the children he meets there.
