Our Promise
Both of us know how important it is for you to know that your child is loved and treasured. Your child will know that you made this decision because you wanted the best for him/her and that it was not an easy road you travelled. You chose to give your child life and to put their happiness first. Your child will know that they are extremely lucky to have a birth parent that cared so much. We think about you often, wondering who you are, and just what an important role you will have in our life.
We are extremely sensitive to birth parents’ needs, hopes for their children, and their desire for the adoptive parents to explain openly to their children how much love and courage it took to place them with an adoptive family. We both know how important it is for you to know that the adoptive family will follow through on their openness agreement. Please know that whatever we mutually agree to, whether it is pictures, letters, phone calls, or visits with you, that we will fulfill our promise.
