Our Commitment
As Elias charges ahead in his third year, we feel ready once again to add to our family and look forward to having a younger sibling join our brood. Thank you for considering us as you create an adoption plan. We would be honored if you thought our family is where your child belongs. As you make this big decision, there are a couple of things we want you to know about us:
1) We are committed to open adoption. This doesn’t mean that you would have to have the same relationship with us as the one we’ve forged with Elias’s birth family. It’s to let you know that we welcome and hope for the opportunity to have you involved in your child’s life in a way we all decide together is best. There’s room for all of us!
2) We are committed to multiculturalism. As a multiracial family, we’ve made deliberate decisions to attend a community of faith, develop a group of friends, and live in a neighborhood that reflect our differences. We want Elias to be surrounded by people of all races and would welcome and celebrate your child’s heritage.
We are fortunate to have the support of family and friends in this process. Both of our families are excited to welcome a second grandchild. Grandma, Grandpa, Mimi, Granddad, Uncle Joe, Auntie Meagan, Mommy, Mama, and especially Elias (an eager big-brother-to-be) can’t wait to share in your miracle.
