Carolyn, Jeff & Luke
Introduction
We are Carolyn, Jeff and Luke. We have been married for 17 years and had the good fortune to adopt Luke 3 years ago. We are devoted parents and love family life. Carolyn is originally from England and Jeff grew up in Massachusetts. Luke is a sweet and loving bundle of energy. We have no doubt that he will make the best big brother. It was always our dream to have two children, since we both grew up with siblings that we remain close with. When we adopted Luke we spent time with his birth mother and witnessed first-hand how difficult it is to place a child for adoption. In the time we spent together we developed a strong bond and trust in one another. We keep in touch by sending letters and photographs, according to his birth mother's wishes. We also welcome the idea of a more open adoption but feel it is up to the birth family to determine the level of contact that they are comfortable with. We both believe that the birth family plays a vital role in the life of an adopted child.
