About Us

If we were to describe ourselves in a sentence, it would be that we are very down to earth, easygoing people who love God and enjoy life. Ever since our first date in 1997, we have felt very comfortable being with each other. We share a wonderful relationship built on friendship, love, trust, mutual respect, and open, honest communication. We enjoy being together and doing a variety of activities like hiking, bicycling, canoeing, skiing, watching movies, and learning about the places where we live and visit. We try to keep our lives as simple as possible knowing that this contributes to the zest we have for life.

Our belief in God plays a very important role in our lives. We demonstrate our faith wherever we go, and open our home for those who desire spiritual growth. We believe that the tenderness and warmth of a home lends itself beautifully to spiritual nurture and growth. We have many families involved in our fellowship with children of all ages, so the sounds of young laughter are not foreign to us. We love children and always make sure to have activities that everyone can enjoy.

In addition to our ministry responsibilities, we both have stable jobs and are established in our careers. Rich works as a foreman in a truck repair shop. Joyce works as a nurse in a local hospital. Working part time allows her the flexibility to take care of our home and some of the ministry responsibilities. Our lives are full, and the most important thing to us is the family unit. We eagerly anticipate the changes and blessings that this will bring to our lives.
