Ken, Barbie and Donny
More About Us

Ken is a passionate person with a huge enthusiasm for life. He loves to be active and fit. Playing soccer in both winter and summer keeps him healthy. He is also an avid skier and goes skiing out west once a year with “the boys”. When Donny was just a few weeks old, Ken instituted a “family adventure” day, where we would do something fun and different at least once a week. Some of our adventures include trips to the aquarium, trips to the beach to visit Barbie’s father, walks along nature trails, and visits to a local farm.

Barbie is a stay-at-home Mom. She feels blessed to have Donny and would love another child to love and cherish. She likes to read about child rearing and participates in a weekly playgroup so Donny has a place to socialize and make friends. She also takes Donny to a “Toddler Gym” class so Donny can learn new games, activities and songs.

Donny is two years old and is a very special boy. Donny brings joy and smiles to our life every single day. He is easy-going with a strong sense of curiosity and a sense of humor. Donny loves his playgroups and gym class (though when he says it, it sounds like “cheap gas”). He has a passion for all vehicles, especially diggers, backhoes, trucks, and school busses. Playing outside is something Donny can’t seem to get enough of –even in the winter.

 

We live in a suburb in Massachusetts in a great neighborhood on a quiet street. We have a nice yard with a swing set and dirt pile (perfect for all of those diggers and dump trucks). Our town has a wonderful community center, an excellent school system and plenty of farms, orchards, ice cream stands and churches. For our adventure days, the city, ocean, mountains and country are all within an hour’s drive.

Mostly our favorite thing to do is spend time together as a family. We enjoy going out for dinner and/or ice cream, taking walks, playing at the playground, visiting the library, and exploring outside. We love to go places and visit with friends and family. As our kids grow, we look forward to including them in our hobbies and activities and joining them in theirs.

We are blessed to have family and friends all around us. All together, Donny has 6 aunties, 6 uncles, 8 cousins (so far), two grandmothers and one grandfather, all within driving distance. Extended family is so important to us. Both of our families are supportive and excited for us to adopt.
We plan to raise our children to be healthy, confident, educated, kind, loved and happy people with a strong value system.
