More than most people, I understand the rewards and challenges
of the adoption experience. I discovered that I was adopted
shortly after the death of my adoptive mother. Upon learning
of this, I was able to locate my birth mother with the assistance
of the Catholic Charities organization. In January of 2002,
we were introduced to each other and, since then, have grown
very close. By finding my birth mother, I feel my family
has grown richer and I am grateful for this enriching experience.

Make no mistake I will be forever grateful for the life that my
adoptive parents provided for me. My adoptive brother is, truly,
always, my brother, and now I am fortunate to have found that I
have yet another brother and sister.
Years ago, my birth mother made a wise and courageous decision,
which continues to enhance my life. I now want to devote myself
to building a healthy, happy, loving family, and to giving an adoptive
child, like myself, the opportunity to grow to be a kind, giving,
and joyful adult.
