Michael and Mary Rose
About Us

We hit it off on our first date in 1991, and have been best friends ever since. After getting married in 1993, we rented a one bedroom apartment in Upstate New York before moving to Connecticut in 1997 and buying our current home. We share a wonderful relationship built on friendship, trust, mutual respect, fun, and a love that continues to grow. We enjoy being together, doing anything and everything.

We love golfing, taking walks, working in the yard, and visiting new places. Our Catholic faith has provided a solid foundation for our marriage and plays an important role in our daily life. We both have stable jobs and are well established in our careers. Our employers provide us the flexibility to work from home once the baby arrives.

My Thoughts on Mary Rose
. . .by Michael

Mary Rose never ceases to amaze me. It's not only her many talents and gifts she possesses, but her ability and willingness to share these with others. Her genuine concern for others is something that first attracted me to her. At work, at home, or with family, Mary Rose routinely goes out of her way to make someone's day a little better. Like me, Mary Rose is a financial analyst at a large organization. She is very active in our church and serves as a eucharistic minister. For fun, Mary Rose enjoys cooking, exercising, doing projects around the house and vacationing in places where there is sun and a beach. She also likes to volunteer her time at worthy causes such as the Food Pantry, the Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, and at a Not-for-Profit group where she is the Treasurer. Mary Rose has a seemingly magnetic effect on children. Whether it's our own nieces and nephews or the children of strangers, they seem to be drawn to her loving and nurturing self. I know she is going to be a fantastic mother.

My Thoughts on Michael
. . .by Mary Rose

Michael is the love of my life and my best friend. He has demonstrated his incredible devotion and loyalty to me and our marriage as we suffered the loss of six pregnancies through miscarriage. He has a spirited personality and an amazing sense of humor. He has always been able to make me laugh and make me feel better about myself. Michael is intellectual, romantic, thoughtful and generous of his time. His interests include playing and watching sports (golf, basketball, football), following the stock market, reading car magazines, listening to music, doing home improvement projects and volunteering. Michael is a frequent volunteer at Habitat for Humanity and is a "Big" in the Big Brother program. He spends time with his "Little", Matt, and Matt has grown quite attached to Michael. Michael is there to listen, understand, and share his love; and Matt is no longer afraid to open up and share his feelings. Children adore Michael and you can always find him playing with them at any get together. Our nieces and nephews think Uncle Michael is cool and so much fun. With the boys, there are the usual wrestling matches, hiking and snow tubing. With the girls, there are trips to the park, reading books, horseback rides and playing games. Michael is still a kid at heart. Watching Michael with our family and friends, I know he will be a terrific father!
